A few years ago I started walking through mountains. Turns out that when you walk far enough, things start to come up. Here you can find some of those things. Moments I had to photograph, lyrics that hit home and feelings I had to materialize.  Below the pictures you’ll find a text I wrote at the time.

A reminder to stop and listen to myself every now and then. A visual diary.

This is part of a personal project called Actual Life, a tribute to Fred Again.. Been blasting my head off to his music last year. It just felt right to put together some of my own photos and experiences from the last couple of years. I absolutely love how he mixes voices, recordings and videos, it creates an atmosphere with so much raw emotion. I believe thats why it so cathartic to listen to. He’s able to capture the nostalgic essence of memories, good or bad. Who hasn’t felt lost?

I’ve known this guy for almost 24 years and we’ve done a lot together. A lot of stupid things -of course- but a lot of first-time stuff too. The last one was last year and, boy, was it a gift. He invited me to a trek in the Pyrenees with a close group of his friends. He opened up a door for a whole new way of life. It was a time with a lot of changes in my life. Amidst the fog and the chaos, the experience made me feel pretty ecstatic, grateful and hopeful for the future. So, there’s that ✌🏽.

This one right here came through my life like a wrecking ball a couple of years ago. Little did I know the effect she would have in it 😅 She is one of the main reasons I’m posting again, was able to do my portfolio and I’m chasing the things I love. She amazes and surprises me almost every day with how she acts and thinks. I will say tho that those surprises are not good all the time 😂. The thing is that she isn’t even conscious of her effect. Kase O nailed it (again) describing it: Luz que no ves porque tú la irradias ✨

Its soooooooooooo (damn) difficult to have a positive attitude when things get tough and obstacles appear in your way. It’s definitely easier said than done 😂 Small steps! A very little key will open a very heavy door. Monday is finally over. We made it through (again) 🥳 I wanted to write cheers to you guys but the autocorrect changed it to beers for you guys, so your choice! Celebrate the end of Monday as you wish🤘🏽Let me know in the comments if 🍺 or 🎉!

This is the last one I’ll be sharing 😬 It’s of the last day of the trek we did this year. In the picture you can see Grachi following Guille. We met him on the briefing of the trek, he was getting his mountain guide license. To finish his course he had to guide us on the last day from one shelter to another. He caused a huge impression on me because his life was so different from mine. His incredible love and passion for the mountain was absolutely contagious. He was super nice, joyful and warm, always with a smile. Although he was my age and over 190cm (I think) you could see his inner kid. Yeah, we had to stop and revaluate our course a time or two, but he did a great job and took us to our destination with 0 problems. Looks like when you are the one deciding how and where you are going you may get confused sometimes. I like how David Whyte puts it: how do you know you’re on your path? Because it disappears.
